Strategy For Total Credits Multipliers

With a line credits multiplier in your slots machine, you activate fewer paylines and try to maximize the credits per line because that maximizes the amount of the payouts. The best playing method for total credits multipliers, however, is almost opposite from the method used for line credits multipliers.

Start with Maximum Paylines

With a total credits multiplier, you should always activate the maximum number of paylines and limit the total bet amount by cutting down on the credits per line. There is good reason for this. Instead of playing three lines at three credits per line, for a total of nine credits per spin, you should play nine lines at one credit per line, for the same total of nine credits. Although the total credits multiplier is the same either way (nine credits), with nine paylines activated, you will hit three times the number of wins. Since the total payout for each win is the same either way, you need to maximize the hit frequency by activating all the lines.

Use an Incremental Betting Sequence

Just as for a line credits multiplier, you should try to apply an incremental betting sequence. Since you should always activate all the paylines, the only betting variability is in the number of credits per line.
The simplest way is to start with one credit per line and incrementally increase it by one credit, say every three spins - you decide on the exact number. Thus, on a nickel machine, your first bet is forty-five cents (five cents times nine lines). Then increase the bet by one credit when you have three
no-wins in a row. Anytime you hit a small win of less than five times your total wager, restart the three-count.
